These terms are an agreement between you and bule.ai. Please read them before you use the service. By using bule.ai, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Who we are
bule.ai is operated by Iridian Labs, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. In these terms, "bule.ai", "we", "us", and "our" mean this operator. You can reach us any time at [email protected].
2. The service
bule.ai is real-time English conversation practice with an AI tutor. You talk by voice, and the tutor can optionally see you through your camera so it can respond like a patient teacher. We offer the service through our website (bule.ai), our web app (app.bule.ai), and our mobile apps. These terms cover all of these.
3. Who can use bule.ai
You must be at least 13 years old to use bule.ai. If you are between 13 and 17, you need permission from a parent or guardian, and that parent or guardian must accept these terms on your behalf. Any paid subscription for someone under 18 must be purchased by the parent or guardian.
4. Your account
The core service is currently free, and you can use it without an account. If you sign in, you also get your conversation history and a tutor that remembers you.
Signing in works by a one-time code sent to your email. Please keep your email account secure, because anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account, and you agree to give us accurate information.
5. Free and paid plans
Real-time voice conversation with your tutor is free and unlimited. The free plan also includes memory across sessions, practice modes (scenarios and the Describe It challenge), your conversation history, a Recap after every conversation, and part of Progress.
Premium is an optional paid subscription. It adds your tutor's Notes on the Recap after every conversation, Callbacks (words you reached for coming back in a later conversation), and all of Progress. Premium does not limit or replace anything in the free plan.
You can buy Premium in two kinds of places. Each is a separate "store":
- In our mobile app, through the app store you installed it from — Google Play on Android, or the Apple App Store on iPhone and iPad. Google or Apple is the seller of record for that purchase. It handles billing, payment methods, and taxes, and its own terms apply to the purchase.
- On the web, at app.bule.ai. Payment is handled by Stripe through Stripe Managed Payments. Link (link.com, a Stripe company) is the seller of record for web purchases: checkout and receipts come from Link, your bank or card statement shows LINK.COM* followed by our name, and Stripe calculates and collects any sales tax, VAT, or GST. Link's own terms apply to the purchase.
In every store, the following applies:
- There are two plans, monthly and annual. Prices are set per country and shown in your local currency before you pay — in the app and the store on mobile, or on the Stripe checkout page on the web, where the price shown includes tax. The price shown at purchase is the price you pay.
- Both plans are auto-renewing subscriptions. They renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- Both plans start with a 7-day free trial. On the web we offer it only if your bule.ai account has never had Premium in any store; in Google Play and the App Store, the store decides, usually once per store account. Your first charge happens on the day the trial ends. If you cancel before then, you are not charged.
- One bule.ai account (your email) has one Premium. Buying it in any store unlocks Premium on the web, Android, and iPhone wherever you sign in with the same account. If you buy it in two stores, you are charged twice, so cancel the one you do not want.
- You can cancel any time. In the mobile app, cancel in your app store's subscription settings. On the web, cancel at app.bule.ai → Profile → Manage subscription (Stripe's billing page), or at app.link.com under your subscriptions. Future renewals stop, and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Prices may change. You are notified before a price change applies to your subscription, and any new price takes effect at a renewal, not in the middle of a period you have already paid for.
6. Refunds
Because the store is the seller, refunds go through the store's refund process: Google Play or Apple for purchases in the mobile app, and Link for purchases on the web. If you have trouble, contact us and we will help. If a charge is refunded or disputed, the Premium it paid for ends at once. See our Refund Policy for how it works.
7. Acceptable use
bule.ai is for your personal, non-commercial English practice. To keep it safe and working for everyone, you agree not to:
- use bule.ai for anything unlawful, hateful, or abusive;
- harass the tutor or try to manipulate it into producing harmful output;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or use bots or other automated access;
- resell the service or interfere with how it runs;
- impersonate another person.
Every session uses real GPU computing power, so we may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that abuse the service.
8. The tutor is an AI
Your tutor is an AI, not a person. It can be wrong — about English, about facts, about anything. It is a practice partner, not a licensed teacher, examiner, or certification body, and its responses are not professional advice of any kind (legal, medical, or otherwise). We do not guarantee any particular practice result.
9. Your content
You own what you say. You give us a limited license to process your audio, video, and transcripts only to provide and improve the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. Your audio and camera video are processed in real time and are never recorded or stored.
10. Our content and brand
The service, the bule.ai brand, and everything on our site belong to us. Using bule.ai does not transfer any of these rights to you beyond normal use of the service.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using bule.ai at any time. You can delete your account yourself in the app (Profile → Delete account) — see Delete your account for the steps and what is deleted. If you cannot use the app, email [email protected] instead. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms, and we will give you notice where that is reasonable.
12. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that it will always be available or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for bule.ai in the 12 months before a claim — or, if you use the service for free, to the minimum the law allows. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will announce it on the site — and by email if you have an account — before it takes effect. If you keep using bule.ai after a change, that means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. This does not affect the mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there.
